‘including significant negative impact on freedom of movement, and access to work, education and healthcare.’

“The NEU is particularly troubled by the impact the occupation has on the education and well-being of young people. As educators, we recognise the value of education and its role in delivering peace and justice for all.

“We are also concerned by the continued maltreatment of children in the Israeli Military Courts, including the practice of imprisonment of hundreds of children every year.

“For Palestinian citizens of Israel, over 20 laws have been passed ensuring that they are treated differently from their peers, including the recent Nation State law. The Union denounces this and calls for equal rights for all Palestinians and Israelis.

“The Union remains committed to realising a peaceful and just resolution to the conflict in the region.”
