The NEU is a lay-led union - that means the union is you!
Reps have a statutory entitlement to training and are fully supported along the way.
The Workplace rep provides essential communication networks both within the union & within the workplace. It does not have to be a one-person role and a good rep team includes a support staff rep.
Excessive workload, harassment, deteriorating buildings and the impact of climate change are amongst some of the key health and safety concerns of education workers
Our workplace learning representatives are accredited union reps and are there to support members with their professional and personal learning.
This is a new role launched in 2022 to help to tackle the climate and environmental crisis and empower NEU members to be a force for change on these issues.
An ambassador in every workplace will support members and reps in negotiating the best employment policies, using our model policies and policy checklists.
