Leadership masterclass: Strategic thinking

This is an online leadership masterclass aimed at those in middle leadership positions or those who lead a team.

This session is an hour long and will explore the concept of strategic thinking as a leader in education and how to use this to identify opportunities and challenges and develop strategic thinking skills.

This session will cover:
• Reflect on the differences between managing and leading
• Discuss how to move from operational to strategic action
• Consider how to build in time for reflection as a leader
• Review some different tools to create the habit of strategic thinking

Hannah Wilson is a Leadership Development consultant, coach and trainer. She is the Founder/ Director of a DEIB training provider called The Belonging Effect. She is the Co-Founder of #WomenEd #DiverseEd and the Co-Editor of Diverse Educators: A Manifesto and author of Cultivating Belonging in Schools. She previously taught English, Drama and Media Studies over a 20 year career in schools. She has held multiple leadership roles including Head of Department, Head of Year, Assistant/ Deputy/ Executive Headteacher and trust-wide/ Teaching School wide roles as well. She has been a governor and a trustee in multiple settings, including being the Chair of the trust board.
