Are you a senior leader or aspiring to be a senior leader? Are you looking for a focused, personal orientated opportunity to develop your own leadership?
This advanced programme has been designed for NEU members to be the catalyst for you to begin your senior leader career, exploring the psychology of leadership, enhancing your understanding of strategic leadership, reviewing and reflecting your current leadership in a supportive in person group environment.
This programme will help you to:
- Lead yourself, your team and beyond your team
- Understand the use of motivation as a leadership tool
- Advance your skills in leading and influencing others
- Understand the importance of being an emotionally intelligent leader
- Deal with contentious issues and whole-school initiatives
- Develop your confidence and motivation as a leader
- Explore leadership theory and practice
- Prioritise and effectively manage your time
- Meet and network with other NEU leaders on an in person course
This programme is tutored and run in partnership by the Centre for Educational Leadership, Institute for Education, UCL. It runs over 6 months with 4 face to face sessions and intersessional tasks. Participants carry out their own change project over the course of the programme. The facilitators are highly experienced programme leaders in educational leadership.
Cost
£120
This programme is highly subsidised by the NEU. We would expect a contribution from your employer for the fee and travel expenses to attend this programme, as well as time away from the workplace as an investment in your development.
