A guide to memory

In this session, Ross McGill known globally as @TeacherToolkit will explore a brief history of the brain, its anatomy and how memories are formed, gathering a range of practical techniques for the classroom. Understanding working memory helps us and our students teach and learn better.

Learning outcomes:

  • Develop strategies that strengthen memory retention.
  • Understand how scaffolding, modelling and guided practice supports student development.
  • Identify the connections between wellbeing and learning.
