Black History Month: The Abasindi Cooperative poster

The Abasindi Co-operative, Manchester, was one of the first Black women-only organisations in the UK and the most influential in the post-industrial North. The group was founded in the 1980s by Afro-Caribbean women to fight racial and gender inequality, and support Black communities in Manchester.
