Maths through stories

Learn how to enhance your mathematics teaching using storytelling and how pupils can create their own mini mathematical story picture books to help develop their mathematical understanding.

In this Maths Through Stories webinar on enhancing your mathematics teaching using storytelling, participants will learn:

·       How teaching mathematics using story picture books can be a pedagogically powerful strategy and explore its underpinning theories.

·       How pupils can create mini mathematical story picture books to help them develop their mathematical understanding.

·       How to support your pupils to take part in the Young Mathematical Story Authors (YMSA) competition, the world's first annual international mathematical story writing competition for 4-16 years old learners.

Suitable for: Members working in early years to KS4. This workshop will be useful for both participants who are new to the idea of using story picture books in mathematics teaching and those who have had some experience in using the resource.

(This session will be recorded and available for 14 days. If you are unable to attend, register and receive the recording link. This will be sent the day after the webinar.)
