"The NEU is deeply alarmed and truly saddened by the horrific attack at a synagogue in Manchester. We are greatly worried about the rising levels of antisemitism. Jewish families in our country must be able to attend places of worship free from the threat of intimidation or violence.
"We understand the distress, trauma and anger this will cause for the Jewish community across Manchester but also across our country. Everyone in political life must work together to reject violence and intimidation. We must challenge antisemitism, including using educational and community spaces to tackle prejudice and intolerance."
