The NEU’s supplementary evidence to the School Teachers’ Review Body (STRB) focuses on our response to the Government’s evidence to the STRB. We also respond to some issues raised by other statutory consultees.
Alongside this document, we are also sending as a key component of our supplementary evidence a full report of the latest annual NEU Pay and Progression Survey. It shows that large majorities of teacher members feel underpaid and have considered leaving due to low pay levels. These sentiments haver barely moved this year despite government claims of progress on pay over the past two years.
