Post-16 members are encouraged to attend our annual Post-16 Sector Conference on Saturday, 18 October from 10:00 am -3:45 pm at Mary Ward House in London, with keynote speakers, seminars, and the opportunity to meet colleagues in the sector.
Discussion groups will hear about successful college campaigns, and we will be joined by Maxine Looby, UCU Past President, to speak about our ongoing joint work with UCU as well as the current UCU campaign in FE.
We are delighted to welcome Sarah Kilpatrick, NEU President, as our keynote speaker.
Eligibility and cost
The conference is open and free to all NEU members who work in the post-16 sector, on approval by their district.
Lunch, refreshments will be provided and travel expenses will be met. If you must leave home before 7.00 am, overnight accommodation can be arranged.
Motion and delegates to NEU Annual Conference 2026
The sector conference can submit a motion to the NEU Annual Conference and nominate six delegates.
You can submit a motion for consideration and put yourself forward as a delegate to the NEU Annual Conference in Brighton 2026. Please note that to be eligible as a delegate, you must be currently employed in a post-16 establishment.
Motions should be no more than 350 words and emailed to David Kimber, david.kimber@neu.org.uk, no later than Friday, 3 October at 7 am.
Attendees will vote on the sector motion and delegates for the annual conference.
