Programme background
The NEU is determined to address the disproportionately small number of Black leaders at all levels in education. As part of this, the union is offering this personal and professional development programme aimed at equipping Black members with the skills and confidence to identify career paths and apply for promotion.
The NEU uses the term ‘Black’ for “all members who self-identify as Black, Asian or any other ‘minority ethnic’ groups who do not identify themselves as white.” This includes Gypsy and Roma non-white people.
