This interactive session will explore how to incorporate active, rehearsal room pedagogy into your classrooms using the Royal Shakespeare Company's new online learning platform: the Shakespeare Curriculum - recently featured in Educate magazine.
The platform offers expert guidance, ready-to-use activities and thousands of resources from the RSC’s production history, including video clips of actors performing the plays.
This session will:
- Develop our teaching practice using the RSC's active, rehearsal room pedagogy.
- Explore the Shakespeare Curriculum platform as a teaching and learning resource for use in our classrooms.
- Give us the opportunity to reflect on our teaching practice and on how to implement active learning approaches with our specific groups of students.
Suitable for: secondary teachers – particularly those teaching or leading Drama or English
