How to apply
The form must be signed by the District Secretary. Signatures can be electronic and their veracity confirmed by email.
The application form requires the applicant to complete a statement that includes outlining their experience of/ interest in anti-racism work and the Holocaust, and pledged solidarity activities upon return.
Closing Date
The deadline for the receipt of nominations is 12pm, Friday 7 March.
Please note, applications made by members without the approval of their District will not be accepted.
Criteria for Eligibility
The National Education Union Executive has determined that the following factors will be considered when selecting participants for delegations:
- Ensuring a balance across regions and nations;
- Ensuring a gender balance;
- Ensuing representation from the diversity of our membership;
- Minimum of 6 months remaining on passport from end of delegation date;
- Prioritisation for activists who have not been on a union delegation overseas in the last three years to afford opportunities for new activists; and
- Prioritisation of activists who have made clear pledges during the nomination process on how they will use their experience to engage new members into activism through anti-racism work.
