Teachers Pay - Dispute
A statutory ballot for industrial action has been opened since 10 June as the Department of Education has failed to agree on the implementation action plan of the Independent Review of Workload.
The Action Plan did not go far enough and after further talks did not progress core matter, the decision was made by all five unions to ballot their members. The ballot will close on 01 September noon. Please use your vote and return it in the envelope provided.
Consultations
Current consultations include one on the proposed NI Curriculum, a call for evidence on the Education Inspections Bill. We will be making robust responses to both and also encourage our members to respond to both as educators. A review of the Department of Education Behaviour Policy is also taking place.
