Teachers Pay 2025/26
NITC (NI Teachers Council) have submitted a pay claim for 8% for the year. Teachers in England and Wales were awarded a 4% rise. You may have seen in the media that a sum of £37million has been set aside by the Assembly for Teachers pay. However, this will fall short in ensuring that a decent pay rise is offered. Pay in NI still lags. Therefore, it is imperative that any rise ensures that no further slippage occurs.
Teachers Pay 2024/25
The Independent Review Panel on Workload are due to report to the Minister before the end of November on the 26 actions contained in the Heads of Agreement which was associated with the pay deal. Meetings have been ongoing with management to discuss and agree on how the points will be actioned. We will update you as soon as possible.

NEU covers a range of employers and Pay has also been raised with colleges and with the Early Years umbrella body. We will update members as soon as we can.
