Teaching dance confidently in primary

We’ll consider the value of dance and its’ place in the national curriculum, the arts and wider society. We’ll introduce the key ingredients and components of dance, and creative practical tasks linked to different cross-curricular themes and starting points.

You will leave the session with:

  • Enhanced knowledge and understanding of how to plan your best dance lesson yet
  • Increased confidence and inspiration to plan and deliver high-quality dance lessons in a primary setting, including practical examples and fun ideas to get started
  • Considerations for inclusive practice so every learner can positively engage in dance 

 Suitable for: Primary teachers – including subject leaders, ECTs and supply.
