In 2018, a delegation of members went to Cuba to examine current educational provision in rural and urban environments. The group visited primary, secondary, special educational needs and arts schools; met teachers and trade unions; and took part in historical, cultural and community visits.

Reps Foundation is a three-day course for newly elected reps or those who have not previously attended training. Please note! You must sign up to all 3 days and ensure you have time off agreed with your employer for all 3 days when booking a place.
Reps Advanced is a three-day course which builds on the skills, knowledge and understanding gained during the Reps Foundation course.
The NEU organises LGBT+ events and activities across the country. The union’s presence at Pride events sends out a message of solidarity to all LGBT+ educators and students.
