Contacts

Welcome

Welcome to the North Kent District web pages (well...page at the moment). Use the contact information on this page to get in touch about casework, local meetings and training, annual conference and other issues. The email contacts just to the left (Lewis and Kyle) are a good way to get more immediate, local information rather than contacting the South East Region. If however, the matter is casework specific, the best point of contact first is the Advice Line, though you may end up being referred to us later!

The District is quite an active one, so if you're keen to get more involved in union life, drop Lewis or Kyle a message and we'll tell you when our next meeting is. We have in recent times started to slowly contact schools in our area to see if members there would be interested in becoming a rep for the school. This is very much for the benefit of all and of course raises our profile. See - https://neu.org.uk/become-rep for more details.

We were thinking of starting up a blog or devising a more interesting website but modern technology is as such now that information can quickly be found in all manner of ways more swiftly. If however you're interested in a few genuine "union" issues, such as past conferences, past elections or views on SEN then the old Gravesham NUT blog may have things on it that might interest you, see;

https://graveshamnut,wordpress.com/2017/06   ...As an initial step into it, but there's a range of things there.

Two popular ones at the time that looked at "complex needs" and "Neuroscience and attachment disorders" for example can be found here;
