We have four events this Saturday:

  • Dudley North: leafleting from 11am-1pm followed by speeches at Quality Hotel Dudley, Birmingham Road, Dudley DY1 4RN until 2pm.
  • Ashfield: leafleting from 11am-1pm followed by speeches at the Summit Centre, Pavilion Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire NG17 7LL until 2pm. Speakers include NEU joint general secretary Kevin Courtney.
  • Northampton North: leafleting from 11.10am-1pm followed by speeches at Doddridge Centre, 109 St James Road, Northampton NN5 5LD until 2pm. Speakers include NEU data analyst Andrew Baisley.
  • Hastings and Rye: leafleting from 11am-1pm followed by speeches at The White Rock Hotel Hastings, 1-10 White Rock, Hastings TN34 1JU until 2pm. Speakers include NEU past president Kiri Tunks.

Kevin Courtney, Joint General Secretary of the National Education Union, said:

“There is a huge choice for education at this election. Be under no illusion – schools and colleges are in a dire situation, and real solutions are needed.

“The real-terms school cuts crisis has had deep and damaging effects on our schools and colleges and their ability to give the full education service that all young people deserve.

"Today we will be meeting voters and telling them that if you value education, you must vote for education.”
