    Behaviour webinar 2
    United Kingdom

About the event

Webinars provided by the National Education Union in collaboration with specialists from Transform Behaviour

This series of two webinars focuses on the range of factors that will be likely to impact on behaviour in schools in the unique context of a return to school after lockdown.

The webinars will give you the opportunity to brush up on your classroom management techniques and explore behaviour issues that might come up from these unprecedented times. The webinars will be delivered by tutors who have considerable experience in all aspects of behaviour management. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers.

Behaviour webinar 1: led by Pete Hrekow and Jake Mansell

80 per cent or so of a school population is pre-disposed to following reasonable rules and routines – we will focus on getting it right for these learners in this webinar, and introduce a useful framework for re-establishing classroom expectations.

Behaviour webinar 2: led by Dr Rob Long and Steve Russell

This will focus in the first part on practical ways staff can respond to behavioural situations, effectively balancing structure with nurture. The second part will look specifically at some of the main social, emotional and mental health needs some pupils are likely to present and practical strategies.

"Great CPD, thanks! It made me feel like I'll be able to hit the ground running in terms of behaviour when I eventually return to work. I really appreciate everybody in the NEU's hard work during the pandemic. Thank you!" - Attendee.
