About the event

By the end of the course, participants will have the skills and knowledge to carry out the role of the International Solidarity Officer;

Participants should be elected International solidarity officers in their District or interested in taking up the role.

The course will:

  • have enhanced their knowledge and skills related to teaching and learning about the key concepts of Global Citizenship – interdependence, diversity, human rights, peace and conflict and sustainability;
  • have gained strategies for tackling controversial issues;
  • have evaluated activities that encourage action for change through collaborative classroom teaching strategies; and
  • have begun to plan and organise international solidarity projects in their workplace or district
