About the event

The ULR training course is run over two separate days and will give you the skills and knowledge to make a real difference for our members in the workplace.

NEU ULRs can play a key role in supporting, developing and improving the learning culture both within their workplace and the wider union. They help raise awareness about the value of learning in all its forms, help plan and run learning events and support and encourage members to take part in learning.

The course will cover:

Day 1

  • The ULR role in the NEU
  • Learning in your area
  • NEU ULR and legal rights
  • Identifying learning needs
  • Working with providers

Day 2

  • Communicating on learning
  • Using learning to organise
  • Planning and designing learning event
  • Useful learning resources
