About the event

This one day conference will explore the use of language as a powerful tool for building inclusion at work, in school and in society.

Delegates will also hear from NEU National Executive Equality Seat Holders for black members, LGBT+ members and disabled members.  Guest speakers will include Emma Chesworth from the 8th Plinth Campaign to address the lack of female role models represented through town centre historical statues, and Show Racism the Red Card on identifying and addressing unconscious bias.  There will be a mix of workshops and plenary sessions including use of inclusive language in the classroom, historical language of racism, neurodiversity and trans inclusive language.

Places are free but limited so please register your place asap. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
