3.45 – 4.45pm - Outdoor Learning – Primary

This webinar will explore a variety of primary curriculum-linked opportunities for learning outdoors in a typical school grounds. It will consider creative ways to use the tarmac, grassland, trees and other school grounds’ features to support meaningful learning experiences and then look at the simple enhancements and ways that they can be implemented to increase impact.

It will cover:

  • Practical techniques in using outdoor space for learning
  • Understanding on the research of outdoor learning
  • Inspirational ideas for simple grounds changes to enhance outdoor learning and play
  • How to overcome barriers to using the outdoors for learning

This webinar will be run by Learning through Landscapes a leading UK charity dedicated to enhancing outdoor learning and play for children and a reputation as the UK’s leading school grounds educational charity. They help children and young people to connect with nature, become more active, learn outdoors and have fun.

Thursday 19 November

3.30 - 5.15 - Work-Related Stress as a Collective Issue

Stress was one of the biggest H&S issues for educational professionals before Covid and remains a heightened issue in the current situation. This 105-minute online session is for all H&S Reps and Officers/Advisers who have completed either the online or face-to-face H&S rep training. The focus will be on making workplace stress a collective issue.

Friday 20 November

1.30 - 3.00pm - Becoming a H&S Rep – Part 1

This 3 Part Training Programme is held at the same time over 3 consecutive Fridays. (Part 2 – 27th Nov, Part 3 – 4th Dec) and is for all new health & safety reps and those considering taking on the role as well as workplace reps wanting a greater knowledge of health & safety.
