This session from SAPHERE introduces philosophical enquiry – a powerful pedagogy that develops speaking, listening, and thinking in children, young people and adults.

Drawing on evidence, examples, and your own professional experiences, the session outlines the impact of this educational approach on learning and teaching, and signposts routes for those who want to learn more about philosophical enquiry. 

At the end of the session, you will be familiar with:

  • An example of philosophical enquiry in practice
  • The basic aims of P4C (Philosophy for children and communities) and its primary evidence base
  • An outline of SAPERE's training pathway
