In this Maths Through Stories webinar on enhancing your mathematics teaching using storytelling, participants will learn:
· How teaching mathematics using story picture books can be a pedagogically powerful strategy and explore its underpinning theories.
· How pupils can create mini mathematical story picture books to help them develop their mathematical understanding.
· How to support your pupils to take part in the Young Mathematical Story Authors (YMSA) competition, the world's first annual international mathematical story writing competition for 4-16 years old learners.
Suitable for: Early Years to KS2. This workshop will be useful for both participants who are new to the idea of using story picture books in mathematics teaching and those who have had some experience in using the resource.
