This interactive session for will equip you with the tools to support neurodivergent students effectively in the classroom. By focusing on six key barriers—sensory overload, emotional regulation, executive function, processing speed, transitions, and social communication—we’ll explore their impact on learning and engagement. You will gain a deeper understanding of these challenges and leave with an actionable toolbox of graduated strategies to create a safe, supportive, and thriving environment for all learners.

You will:
• Understand how six common barriers affect neurodivergent students' ability to engage and learn.
• Gain insight into the lived experiences of neurodivergent students through first-person perspectives.
• Learn practical strategies to address these barriers using a graduated approach, from simple adjustments to more intensive interventions.
• Feel empowered to implement immediate, short-term, and long-term changes that support neurodivergent students in a sustainable way.
• Build confidence in fostering a neurodivergent-friendly classroom environment that promotes inclusion and success.
