Behaviour: Routines for learning

Explore what effective behaviour management looks like in any classroom setting. You will be guided through productive routines for learning and given opportunities to reflect on your practice. 

This session will guide you through productive routines for learning whilst providing opportunities to reflect on your setting and helping you to create a usual way of working for your students.  The need for rigorous routines for learning will also be explored, guiding you to consider how you can ‘Try, Refine or Ditch’ low-effort, high-impact ideas presented. The session will also include strategies to support managing some challenging behaviours in your classroom settings. 

Expected outcomes:   

  • Understand effective strategies to use to promote effective behaviour for learning 
  • Reflect on your classroom and practice 
  • Take away ideas to improve your management behaviour management processes

This webinar will be delivered by Amjad Ali, founder of Try this Teaching, a teacher, trainer, TEDx speaker and Senior Leader. He currently works four days a week in a start-up secondary school and offers CPD/INSET on his other day. Amjad has spent his teaching career working in challenging, diverse schools. He is a qualified SENDCO and was also trained as an Advanced Skills Teacher in Teaching and Learning.
