The theme for this year's conference is: 'NEU Post-16 Sector Value Education, Value Educators'.
Despite it being virtual, there is still plenty happening this year! Kevin Courtney, NEU Joint General Secretary will be giving the keynote speech. This will be followed by your newly elected Executive member for Post 16, Duncan Blackie. Jill Stokoe (NEU) will give a policy update on all things curricula, particularly the situation around BTEC.
We will have a mid morning session on debate and agreement for the post-16 annual motion to go to annual conference in 2022. Details of how to send in a motion or the procedure during the conference will be sent to members.
Finally, there is a CPD session on the use and employment of techniques of compassion in your teaching and learning. This will be applicable to all members at all levels. We are very excited about this session and look forward to your response to it.
A stimulus to set up a college research group will end the conference run by Lucy Harding (Hugh Baird College) and Bryon Evett (Coleg Cambria).
The deadline for conference registration is 5pm, 4 November.
