Indicative ballot - supporters
Volunteer and help us win the ballot
The Government’s cuts to school funding are threatening the quality of education. Would you like to help the NEU in its funding campaign?
It need not take up much of your time. If you've got a few minutes to spare, we'd like you to volunteer or become a school or college rep. By acting together, we can make a difference to the issues that are of importance to teachers and children.
Want some tips for getting the word out about our ballot? Find out how our executive member Stefan Ealing has used rep density and his motorbike to encourage members in Ealing to vote YES.
The most important thing every single member can do is make sure their colleagues have voted. Even if you are not a union rep, we would like you to hold a meeting of all members in your school, talk to everyone about the funding campaign and encourage those eligible to vote and vote YES!
If they have questions, you can find all the answers you need in ballot enquiries, along with a form to send more complex queries.
Once you know everyone in your school or department has voted, please don’t stop there! Make sure you speak to other NEU members that you might know from your networks and check they have voted.
Spread the word on social media and encourage every member to vote and support the ballot using the hashtag #HandsUp

5. Become a rep
The more workplace based reps we have, the stronger our funding campaign. Why not become a rep in your school or college?
