Ballot Resources

Getting the word out about the ballot is the most important thing you can do right now to shape the future of your school.

Every single NEU rep and member can help ensure their colleagues have their say. Here is everything you need to help deliver a huge message about the Government’s failure to address the school and college funding crisis.

Over the coming weeks and months, the Union will be working to ensure that we reach the best possible turnout in this indicative ballot.  As an NEU representative, you are vital to the success of this ballot. Your division/district and region will be organising briefings and meetings that we hope you can join.

Order printed posters, FAQs and application forms

We have printed ballot resources - posters, FAQs, application forms and flyers - which you can put up on your school noticeboard and give to colleagues so members know about the ballot. You can order them here.

Check your school membership list

In the ballot materials pack that has been sent to all NEU reps, there is a list of members who, according to our database, are in the ‘ballot community’ in your school i.e. eligible to vote. Reps:

  1. Please check this list and update it online;
  2. You will be emailed a unique link to set up an account.
  3. Please have to hand your membership number.
  4. If a member is not on your list, please let us know using the ballot enquiries form.

Organise a meeting in your school and tell us about it

You can use this presentation to inform colleagues about the indicative ballot and make sure that they all vote:

If you need help organising your meeting, please let us know

Help with ballot FAQs

We have created frequently asked questions that will help you and your colleagues get the answers you need during the indicative ballot.  If you or any colleagues in your school have any queries not answered in the FAQs, email ballot enquiries
