Cuba delegation

Applications are now open for the NEU delegation to Cuba departing Saturday 25 October, and arriving back in the UK on Saturday 1 November 2025. The delegation will be an opportunity to find out about the country’s education system, with school visits, meetings with Cuban education colleagues and trade unionists, as well as an immersive cultural experience.

The cost per delegate is £2,000 of which £1,000 will be covered by the union’s international solidarity fund. The remainder must be covered by either the delegates themselves, by their district/region or by a combination of the two determined by decisions taken locally. Nominees must secure funding for the cost of joining the delegation before applying.

Further details about the event including the criteria for eligibility and how to apply can be found here. All applicants must be nominated by their district - applications made by individuals without the approval of their district will not be accepted.
